Mykala Green, Miss Maine USA 2026, is an aspiring family attorney, founder of an internship program for aspiring legal professionals, and a grief support advocate. 

After losing her best friend Nikki in 2025, Mykala sought to honor her legacy by inspiring future advocates to pursue careers in family law. By providing students with meaningful hands-on experiences, she hopes to encourage them to become the voice for a child in need. Mykala has been able to work with students from the University of New England, the University of Massachusetts Lowell, and two private high schools in the New England area.

As she navigated her own grief journey, Mykala found solace in helping young children cope with the loss of their loved ones by facilitating virtual grief support groups. By providing a space for remembrance, she hopes to reframe conversations surrounding loss and healing.

Passionate about Title IX training and interpersonal violence awareness, Mykala co-founded a chapter of It’s On Us to provide students with external mental health resources and administrative support.

Mykala is a former collegiate figure skater and was the Captain of the Providence College Figure Skating Team. She took great pride in leading a team of young women and helping to support younger skaters. 

Mykala received her Masters degree from Boston University in Leadership, Policy, and Advocacy for Early Childhood Well-being and her Bachelor of Arts from Providence College. She presently works as a paralegal for Atwood & Cherny, P.C where she supports clients navigating divorce. 

As Miss Maine USA, she hopes to show women that in your darkest moments, you have an opportunity to transform and in those moments, you may be led towards the pursuit of crazy dreams.
