Contestants are permitted to have one (1) personal hair and/or makeup artist during Pageant Weekend. Designated styling areas will be available for artists to provide services prior to Interview + Registration on Saturday morning, the Preliminary Competition on Saturday evening, and the Final Competition on Sunday evening. All services must be completed during the designated styling times and within the assigned areas only.

The fee for a backstage Hair & Makeup Artist Pass is $250. This fee includes access to the designated styling area, workstation space, chair, and electrical outlets. Artists are responsible for providing their own supplies, extension cords, lighting, mirrors, and any additional equipment needed. Please note that this fee does not include the cost of the artist’s services. Contestants are responsible for independently booking and paying their chosen artist directly.

Only one (1) artist is permitted backstage per contestant. Due to pageant policies, family members are not allowed backstage; therefore, the professional artist may not be related to the contestant.

IMPORTANT RULE NOTICE: Contestants must purchase a Hair & Makeup Artist Pass in order to have a professional backstage during the competition weekend. If a contestant does not purchase a pass, they will be responsible for completing their own hair and makeup services.

Please note that all contestants will remain under official chaperone supervision beginning at Registration on Saturday morning through the conclusion of the competition on Sunday evening. Contestants are not permitted to leave the hotel property at any time during the weekend for hair, makeup, tanning, beauty, or styling appointments. Likewise, artists may not perform services in contestant hotel rooms, and contestants may not receive services in artist hotel rooms. All hair and makeup services must take place during the designated styling times and within the approved backstage areas only.

Failure to follow these competition rules and policies may result in disqualification.

The following examples are allowed under the rules:

  • Contestant A hires an artist who is skilled in both hair and makeup (Artist X) and pays $250 for entry into the H&M area.
  • Contestant B hires an artist who is skilled in only hair (Artist Y) and pays $250 for entry into the H&M area.
  • Contestant C hires an artist who is skilled in only makeup (Artist Z) and pays $250 for entry into the H&M area.
  • Contestant D hires the same artist at Contestant A (Artist X) and pays $250 for entry into the H&M area.
  • Contestant B and Contestant C are friends and have communicated outside of Clemente Organization’s knowledge and have arranged who will register Artist Y and who will register Artist Z. Both Contestant B & Contestant C may use Artist Y and Artist Z. They do NOT have to pay a separate $250 for use of another contestant’s artist.
  • Even thought Artist X was already registered to Constant A, Contestant D still must pay the $250 H&M fee for entry into the H&M area.
